One of the key benefits of eyelash extensions is that they are fairly maintenance free. There is not a whole lot of care involved, only a few simple rules to follow and you will easily be able to maintain your lash extensions and keep them the max amount of time.
To extend the life of your eyelash extensions, it is imperative to properly care for them.
If Lash extensions that are not properly cared for they will fall out sooner and can even result in irritation of the eyes. If you properly care for your extensions, they will likely remain in place until the natural lashes that hold them fallout (4-6 weeks).

Do not expose your Lash Extensions to water for 24 hours after the application.
When washing the face, use care and avoid splashing water or cleanser in the eye area. Do not swim, shower, or use hot tubs, steam rooms, or saunas for up to 12 hours. However, frequent prolonged contact with water even after 24 hours may shorten the life of your lash extensions |
Do not rub your eyes.
Not only is rubbing your eyes harmful to the health of your eyes, but it will also damage your extensions removing your natural lashes as well (and the extensions bonded to them). Rubbing your eyes can introduce diseases into the eyes and damage them.

Use an eyelash brush.
Gently using an eyelash brush to brush the lashes in the proper direction keeps the lashes looking their best. Some clients sleep on their side with the pillow rubbing their lashes causing some distortion. Brushing them daily will also prevent clumping or sticking together. |
Be careful of what other beauty products you use.
Most people are so pleased with the look of their eyelash extensions that they do not feel that the use of mascara is necessary. However, it is possible to use mascara when you have extensions; but it must be WATER-BASED, NOT waterproof. Waterproof mascara agents interfere with the adhesive used on semi permanent eyelash extensions and can cause the bonding solution to become loose, resulting in the fall of your extensions. Be aware that repeated use of mascara may shorten the lifespan of your lash Extensions. (NOTE: If you are one of those clients who do prefer to wear mascara I STRONGLY RECOMMEND using the lash extension mascara that I have available for purchase (THIS MASCARA IS SPECIFICALLY DEVELOPED FOR THE EXTENSIONS.)

Avoid contact with moisturizers, eye creams, or makeup removers that are (OIL-BASED)
Any cosmetic product or cleanser containing glycols (such as PEG (Polyethylene Glycol), Hexylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, or Glycol Dystearate), oils or alcohol should be avoided. Glycol and all of those listed above can potentially break down the adhesive bond and shorten the duration of time the extensions stay on.

Curling of your LongerLashes Extensions using either curlers or perming is not recommended.
Because the extensions come pre-curled, additional curling is not necessary. |
